Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and all the hub-bub!

Confessions of one mom:
I am not a shopper.
I really am not!
I don’t like trying on clothes, or standing in long line ups with kids. We never had Black Fridays in Canada up until recent years. I was glad because Black Friday is out of the question for me in many ways.
- I want to keep my salvation! I think I would lose my patience way to quickly and end up doing some major damage to my reputation (as a Pastor’s Wife *yikes* I would never live that one down) But, more importantly my reputation with God. Which is way more important! AND, my reputation with my kids who will be watching and taking out their imaginary note pads, with matching pens, scribbling down every bad choice that I make when under pressure. Internally, I am screaming right now.
- I want to love my children; Not be disgruntled with them for every mistake they made in public with me–massively embarrassing me–and causing me to go, as red as a tomato! With 5 children under 9 years of age…this is very easily accomplished for them.
So, when Cyber Monday roles around and online Discounts is beckoning my lack of Christmas shopping, I get excited!
If you are the type of Mom that has everything bought and wrapped in October, or even JULY!
I am super proud of you!
…but for me, I am avoiding my besetting sin and I am sticking to Cyber Mondays 😀

“Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”
